Yep that’s right, it has begun… The works at our new home. First task of the day… cleaning the mess that the other owners left behind… They didn’t care to clean the house from top till bottom…
While cleaning we also are removing the carpeting, because it is really not that nice looking. We are going to place some laminate in all the (children) rooms and paint the walls. But this will be done next week or so.

Yes Yes, last week, it was an exciting week. We finally received the key of our new home … We can finally start with the works and a lot of changes are added to the list. Our target of finishing is actually ending of March 2012 but I guess it will be somewhere around my birthday in April 2012. Just before our American friends will be visiting us.
So initially we had in our minds that we were going to be living at our new home officially the first op April 2012 (and no it is not an April fools day joke) but since the past happenings with our landlords, we decided to move out earlier. So we are officially living at our new home on March the first 2012.
Which gives me only 1 month time to perform all the changes 
… I will be happy when the electricity and heating is finished in about 2 weeks. Next step will be the outbreaking of the old kitchen and place a new one … whohoo …
I will see if we can set some pictures online of the progress of the works.

We realised that packing is quite a job. If you start packing without a plan, you get a chaos in the new house while unpacking. So each box needs a clear tag to know in which room is has to be put. But starting to pack we realised that we need a plan. So we started packing last weekend.
The first boxes are our books, because it’s something that we won’t need immediately. So at this moment our living room in our small appartment is getting filled with boxes. To be honest, it’s like a bomb exploded here
But we can live with it because we know it is only for a short period …

We started a new and fresh word press blog site. With the new house, we are starting again from the beginning. We will try to keep this blog up to date with photo’s, updates about the work progress with the renovations and so on …
